The squealing post

By Vivian Arend

No, there’s no actual noise coming to hit you. This is for all things that have happened over the past week while I’ve been holding the Fans and Favorites event. First, I have to say THANK YOU!!! Holy Moly, the number of people who have purchased Wolf Tracks, and then written to tell me what they thought–I’m overwhelmed. It means so much to know that you are enjoying the Granite Lake series, and my writing. And yes, it definitely motivates me to write more!! Wolf Tracks made it to the top of the MB&M list. It also hit a high [...]

Snippet Saturday- World Building

By Vivian Arend

As a writer who dips into both the paranormal and the contemporary pools, I think there’s world building that occurs in both of them. It’s far more obvious in the paranormal– will my werewolves need a bite for the change to occur, or not? What about the humans around them? Are they aware of the existence of the shifters, or not? It’s been a way for the whole family to celebrate with me. This week, I’m going to show you a few of the trinkets. We’re kind of behind on a few, since I write too fast, and we’re trying to find the ‘perfect  ones’. I love that they can help me [...]

Snippet Saturday

By Vivian Arend

Welcome! Today’s theme is secondary characters, and I decided to show you something cool. One of the fun things about writing a series is that a secondary character in one book can become the main character in the next! All these excerpts are from one of the Granite Lake Wolves, three books available, the first print anthology coming in August and the fourth ebook available in October. ~~~ Wolf Signs: Robyn & Keil, with a side of Tad. “Robyn, there’s something…” Tad hesitated, looking everywhere around the room except at her. He opened and closed his mouth a [...]

Day six and let the arwhoooooing commense. Book 3 in the Granite Lake Wolves, Wolf Games, is out today. One year less a day from the release of the first story and the start of the adventure. I’ve still got a number of days to share about people that have touched me during the past year, but today is to say thank you to the people I’ve really grown to love. Readers. You make me smile when you write to me. When you blog about my stories, and when you tell your friends. I learn from your comments [...]
