Falling in love with my words

By Vivian Arend

I’m getting together excerpts for Elle Kennedy’s and my upcoming blog tour, and a wonderful thing is happening. I’m falling in love with Rocky Mountain Angel all over again.

Maybe that sounds egotistical, but I’m okay with that. I figure if I don’t love what I write, neither will readers. I go back and re-read my own stories and I enjoy them. I even laugh in the right places.

Maybe it sounds odd for another reason– like don’t I love the book a ton? Well, I do, but here’s the reality. Since I handed in Angel to my editor I’ve written three other books, had two books release (thus promo for them), started planning three more books in different series…you get the idea. I remember the main plot points of Angel, but the little details are making me smile, or making my heart break. Like:

The ache inside throbbed like a living creature trying to break free.

You’ll get a chance to read snippets from Angel during the tour that begins November 12. In the meantime, I’m going to gloat that I get to read this really great, angsty-cowboy book. Yes, it’s my own. 😀

I’m so excited to read this one, I feel like we’ve been waiting for Gabe’s story forever 😉

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Considering the first three went bang bang bang. It’s been…7 months. It’s probably longer too since Gabe’s been around since book 1

I’ve got the next one ready for May, so only 6 months between #4 and #5. 😀

I’m rereading this for the post I’m doing on release day – want to do a decent job on the review without throwing in spoilers, and such. I think I really love Gabe’s story almost as much as…never mind, spoiler there. Thanks for the MANY wonderful hours of reading I’ve gotten in, between the cowboys and the indomitable wolfies, and the many other folks I’ve learned to love.
